We are happy to announce that the group has been successful in purchasing the stadium in Quarry Street, Coatbridge from North Lanarkshire Council.

We have been able to do this through grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund 
- without their support we could not have succeeded.

Thanks are also due to North Lanarkshire council employees who gave us tremendous support.  
  Finally we have been most fortunate in having the backing of the Community Ownership Support Service (COSS)
without their expertise assistance and support the outcome may have been very different


The way forward

  This is wonderful news not only for local people but for the many residents throughout Airdrie, Coatbridge
and beyond who make use of the facility.

If you registered for membership of the group you will receive notification of an all members meeting later in the year
when we will elect a committee, and set out our vision to take the group forward.

The present transition committee will begin the task of making ready for the return to full opening of the building.

We will promulgate the updated position and our future plans on this site as we move forward 

All we need now is your continued support! 

To all you bowlers out there, we will be starting our regular winter leagues in September, 
so please make the effort to return and bring along a friend.

We expect our other activities to start when the restrictions are lifted.

Slimming world will be back by the end of the month,

The dance classes and drama group will start shortly.

Our aims

We are a new Community Group formed to safeguard the future of our local Community Hub and Indoor Bowling Facility at Quarry Street, Coatbridge

The Building is in Quarry Street, Coatbridge 

Now that we have been successful in purchasing the building, the transitional committee will be working on the full re-opening of the building and setting out future plans for a 'Community Hub'
